About the 1992–1997 Ford F-350

A Ford F-350 from the generation archive from the generation archive

The OBS F-350 (1992-1997) shows up here in every form — mud-caked off-road rigs, clean crew cabs parked in the sun, stripped-down chassis builds, and lifted 4x4s on dirt roads. From interior details like wood-trimmed door panels and classic blue dashboards to dual exhaust setups and 4x4 decals, these owner photos capture what makes this generation a workhorse icon.

The story

Bought the old girl with white smoke and fuel knock.
Former utility truck with a maintenace box on the back and bench seats.
Dove in expecting bad injectors (one injector had a split O-ring and missing the copper base seal but the MORON used the wrong bolts to hold the injector in place) only to find out someone had NO clue what they were doing.

The poor ole truck has been abused for too many years by incompetent hacks. Loose and missing bolts are but one of the problems.

So far the injectors have been replaced, cold air intake installed. Balance pipe installed between the high pressure oil passages (head to head) and the fuel system has been upgraded.
No more mechanical lift pump or fuel bowl .

I have installed a pick up bed and fenders to cover the dual rear wheels and replaced the bench seat with bucket seats and a center console.

The front end has recieved some much needed love. New ball joints, radius arm and pivot bushings. All the tie rods, ends and adjusting sleeves were replaced. 6 new BFG summer radials and an alignment round out the front end. At some point she will get new rotors and bearings.
The rear leaf springs were also replaced. This truck was set up for a crane on the right side so that spring pack had 10 leaves while the left side had 7. Ride quality is much better.

On the to do list:
Paint, polished nuts/ nut covers and 6 inch stacks.
Over haul the E4OD with a billet torque converter.
New interior
