1968 Ford Ranchero “graytrash”
About the 1966–1971 Ford Ranchero
The 1966–1971 Fairlane/Torino Ranchero captures that sweet spot where Ford merged muscle-era styling with genuine utility — and the builds here prove owners aren't just parking them. From weathered beds showing decades of honest use and rear windows with original markings to chrome-loaded engine bays with custom hoses and classic examples turning heads at outdoor shows, these pages document the Ranchero life as it's actually lived.
The story
Had been stored 10 years in nieces garage by her past roommate, Parts with car... trunk and 4 large tubs full. Suppose to have all chrome, dash, tail lights and grill for GT package, an engine stand, some expensive fuel tank with pump in it for fuel injection, aluminum radiator, double electric fan... Steering column has been changed for floor shifter. Grew up in a Ford neighborhood surrounded by Ford freaks in Detroit with a Ford Engineer for a dad. But I don't know Ranchero's. Great potential beyond my abilitiy. Bought it to flip...need $$ for daughter's upcoming aedding. Clean Vegas title. — rancherojerry
