2009 Ford F-150 “the Beast”
About the 2009–2014 Ford F-150
The 2009-2014 Ford F-150 is the twelfth generation of the half-ton, with production starting in October 2008 for the 2009 model year. Ford revealed the 2009 F-150 at the 2008 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, built it on a fully boxed frame of hydroformed high-strength steel, and offered it in three cab styles (Regular Cab, SuperCab, and the four-door SuperCrew) with a new top Platinum trim. The 2009 and 2010 F-150 carried over the modular Triton V8 family: a 4.6L two-valve V8, a 4.6L three-valve V8, and a 5.4L three-valve V8. The 2011 model year was a complete powertrain overhaul that dropped both Triton engines and introduced four new ones: a 3.7L Ti-VCT V6 rated 302 horsepower, a 5.0L "Coyote" V8 rated 360 horsepower, a 6.2L "Boss" V8 rated 411 horsepower, and a twin-turbocharged 3.5L EcoBoost V6 rated 365 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, all paired with a six-speed automatic. The off-road SVT Raptor joined the line as a 2010 model and ran through 2014.
