About the 1998–2011 Ford Crown Victoria

A Ford Crown Victoria from the generation archive from the generation archive

The Aero Panther Crown Victoria community here runs deep — from blacked-out 2003 models sporting aftermarket hood scoops, push bars, and custom wheels to garage builds where mechanics are elbows-deep in the engine bay. You'll find everything from street-driven personal cars with red brake calipers and custom bumpers to retired interceptor-style setups complete with spotlights, all documented by the owners who built them.

The story

I bought the car on 05/23/14 with 63,040 & 1,975 Idle Hours. First off I had front ball joints replaced, silicone coolant hoses (aka CHP issue, lifetime) installed with special aircraft grade clamps, secondly I have replaced the passenger side window pillar which had a broken clip, thirdly I have had the windows tinted (Back 5 windows 5%, Front windows 50% they did an awesome job highly recommend them (Culver City Ultimate Window Tinting") fourthly I took the Vic to Audio Town on 7355 Lankershim Blvd. 91605 they replaced all 4 speakers w/Kicker speakers, 2 addl. tweeters placed on top against front door panels, installed 2 12in. Kicker Subwoofers, 2 Kenwood Amplifiers (1 for sub's, 1 for speakers, that way everything is powered efficiently) they have also included a Bass control and circuit breaker to prevent the speakers from blowing under load. fifthly I had Audio Town install an Eagle Alarm as well as a kill switch. Sixthly I installed a Tri-Band AVL(Automated Vehicle Location) Laird Technologies Antenna. a few days ago I clayed it with a Clay Towel (polymerized Rubber) polished it with Smart Polish and a Makita Rotary Polisher and a layer of Carnauba wax. (If your in San Fernando Valley and need paint polished hum I'm cheaper than dudes in front of Home Depot no offense. It stands at 64,800 Miles and 1,992 Idle Hours. — Dillon2009P71
