The story
Found it in a little yard in Crescent, OK. Sitting on the ground with most of the windows there, just a shell of a vehicle, paid $150 for it. I'm the 5th owner and I happened to run across the 3rd owner at my buddy's chassis shop. He ran the car back in the late 60's in the old AHRA and told me it once held the world record in a class called 2BBL Stock Automatic. I put on an event called the 2004 FordFE.com Spring Nostalgia Nationals in the OKC,OK area on Memorial Day weekend in 2004. We had a 40th T-bolt reunion and had several Fairlanes there that day. A guy came up to the registration booth and was telling me about an old '63 Fairlane he used to have from about '64 to '66 and how he sold it to a buddy of his that raced it in the old AHRA. I informed him that I had his old car, he was the 2nd owner. — 1320lane
