The story
My very first car. Promised myself I'd never get rid of her. 34 cars and 7 years later, she's still sitting in my back yard untouched. I have many hopes and dreams for her. I have many questions as to what I should do with her. Ideally, I want to put a 460ci EFI with an E4OD in her. A guy tried to sell a Mark V on eBay earlier this month doing the same. Apparently there might be clearance issues with the plenum and tranny. I don't want to make her a race car, but I do want her to move if i want her to, but still be able to cruise. With the OD trans I plan on putting in a 3.50 rear and hope for 14+mpg highway. My buddy has a 77 Merc Marquis and got that kind of mileage stock with a 460 and C6. I am also very selfish. I want to get rid of those louvers on the fenders...probably get replacements from a cougar, ltd, or ranchero. — duke41981
