About the 2000–2005 Ford Excursion

A Ford Excursion from the generation archive from the generation archive

The 2000–2005 Ford Excursion was Ford's full-size SUV heavyweight, and the builds shared here show everything from blacked-out daily drivers parked in driveways to lifted rigs sporting FX4 Off-Road badging and upgraded suspension components underneath. You'll find interior shots highlighting tan leather cabins with aftermarket speaker upgrades, nighttime lighting setups, towing duties with camper trailers, and snow-covered lots proving these Excursions earn their keep year-round.

The story

Bought it new end of 2003 and let the modifications begin!
First was instalation of Ham radio Gear:
Kenwood D700 for 2m/440 and APRS
Yaesu 857 for HF and 11meter when needed.
Two antennas mounted to factory rack one Diamond 627 and a Yaesu Atas 120.

Then found a center seat for the front on Ebay and replaced the console with this seat removed armrests on fron seats had side panels on front seat replaced by upholstery shop now we have room for one more.

Next Up Video System:
Four 7" Swivel flat screens Mounted in each headrest and a fifth up front on articulating arm. DVD/TV Player a Playstation2 and X-Box all switcheable to each screen at any one time...Whew.
On board ITX computer running Windows XP Pro that runs various GPS mapping software and is capable of internet browsing with my T-Mobile phone.
