The story
I bought this truck from the original owner's son in February 1996 after the original owner passed away. When purchased, it still had the original Pebble Grey paint, bias tires, and the paperwork from when he had a Ford crate 360 installed in the '70s.
Soon after purchase, it was repainted inside and out to mimic the '67, the bed wood was replaced (the first of several times), and it received the custom interior and wheels from my previous '67 F100. Power brakes were also added, and the manual steering was retained.
The engine was rebuilt as listed above and installed 3/19/2004.
The disc brake conversion is currently in progress; the hangup is getting the kingpins out.
The wish list includes a power steering conversion, provided I can find a reasonably-priced Bendix box to install. Headers are also in the future. — Richard Cherico
