The First-Gen Mustang community here covers everything from sleek 1969 convertibles in black to bold 1966 ragtops posed against mountain landscapes and 1967 coupes sporting aggressive hood scoops on the lawn. You'll find these builds in every stage — from bare-metal interiors with wiring harnesses and floor jacks mid-restoration to finished rides with GT/CS stripes showing off in the sun.
The story
Bought in North Dakota in 1979, Senior Year of HS. Grand Forks Air Force Base.
Light Ivy Yellow, but painted it in 1982 Dark metallic Blue Imron.
Will be restored soon to OEM paint color but will add PS, AC, LED headlamps etc. — Flyinmechanic
