The story

It saddens me dearly to give her up, but she had to go. She was degrading and it hurt to watch her slowly die. The repairs were almost twice as much as she was worth. I had to buy a new car, but the Sable will always live on in my memories and this page. She was the best car I've ever owned.

I like big American sedans. I got the Sable used for about $3500 at 93k miles in August 2002. It's a very nice car. It's so luxurious compared to my old car. It's got power everything! Power mirrors, power locks, power windows, 6-way power driver's seat, AM/FM Cassette, cruise control, front driver and passenger airbags, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes system, and 6 passenger capacity. The 3.8L V6 is really powerful. I can feel the power when I floor it. It's got enough power to make the tires squeal from idle. And this is with no mods! I've also received a lot of comments about the trunk. Almost everyone who has seen my car has commented on how spacious the trunk is. Once, I packed 5 passengers and a load of suitcases and gifts into the car. The rear end sagged about two inches, but the car was able to do it's job. I love my car!
Interesting story:
After owning the car for a week, I got into my first accident. How ironic that I got rear-ended by a Chevrolet Lumina (the Taurus/Sable competitor). I got $1700 worth of damage (good thing his insurance paid for it). It didn't look that bad either. I was able to drive away from the accident. My bumper was mangled and there was a dent on the spare tire well. The other guy's car was totalled. The cops wouldn't let him drive it away. Broken headlights, grille, radiator, transmission, etc. Last I heard, his car is sitting in his yard, rotting. Now that's "Built Ford Tough!"
Also, everyone who has ridden in my car comments on how comfy the backseat is. — Qwertz9586
