1967 Ford Fairlane
About the 1966–1967 Ford Fairlane
The Fairlane (1966-1967) generation covers everything from barn-find GTA convertibles with rusted floors to wheelie-pulling drag cars launching hard off the line — and these owner photos prove it. You'll find clean V8 engine bays with yellow plug wires, black vinyl interiors with chrome-accented consoles, blue bench-seat coupes, and pairs of Fairlanes posed against mountain backdrops with hay bales.
The story
I bought the car in 2011 on e-bay at Myrtle Beach. It was fairly decent. I was informed the motor had been rebuilt but you know how that turned out when they tore it down. But so much for that. I drove it for about a year and then had the motor rebuilt and took about a year. After all that installed the following: new headers, new flowmaster exhaust, new gas tank, new edelbrock thunder four barrel carb, new stock front end, new front disc conversion and power booster. new headliner, all the trim was repolished, new carpet, air shocks, new comlete door hinges. had to replace left side bottom quarter, all the other issues were minor and all metal was put back in. I drive to car shows, but its not done it. Got issues the window reglulators. Got B/M Z-Gate shifter. That's about it for now. — comet428
