About the 1998–2011 Ford Crown Victoria

A Ford Crown Victoria from the generation archive from the generation archive

The Aero Panther Crown Victoria community here runs deep — from blacked-out 2003 models sporting aftermarket hood scoops, push bars, and custom wheels to garage builds where mechanics are elbows-deep in the engine bay. You'll find everything from street-driven personal cars with red brake calipers and custom bumpers to retired interceptor-style setups complete with spotlights, all documented by the owners who built them.

The story

Old P71 Police Interceptor model with extremely low mileage, bought at a dirt low price after being the Sr. Flight Nurse on a Medical Helicopter (Nurse-Nurse crew with two pilots) who was partially responsible for saving the life of one of their officers shot in chest just above the vest (the Trauma Center did the real work. We just made sure to keep him alive, maintained his airway, gave him 6 units of blood on the flight in, so the Trauma MDs could do the real magic). Used by Chief of Detectives, who literally only drove it from home to work (it's now 13 years old and has only 63000 miles !!!). Blackout emergency lighting package. Alternating flashing headlights. Custom Alternating halogen tail lights (left brake, right brake, left turn signal, right turn signal, left backup light, right backup light --> then it starts over again). Custom 100W halogen fog lights mounted in the second slot in the lower front bumper cover. — FlightNurseConsultant
