The story
I had a two tone green '56 Town Sedan when my wife, Helen, and I were married 48 years ago. I bought this car in 1979 with the intention of restoring it. I drove it for a couple of years then parked it in in 1981. After all this time, much spent building and repairing cars for my two boys, then restoring a '64 F100 and later a '65 Falcon 4 door, I finally started on the '56 last year. It has been slow going. It took 5 months to get the engine machine work finished our chosen machinist, but it is back together and in the refurbished chassis, which now sports front disc brakes and larger rear drum brakes. My oldest son and I just set the body back on the frame, after many hours of replacing bad sheet metal. Helen and I plan to take it on a trip to celebrate our 50th. Hopefully will have many "break-in" miles on it by then. — okiestan
