The story

Originally purchased this 1956 Ford Fairlane Town Sedan (73C 4-door with post) car out of Alabama off the Internet in August 2002 before beginning an over 3 year professionally done complete restoration. This is now an absolutely beautiful award winning rare family sedan that features the Thunderbird 292 cu. in. Y Block engine (completely rebuilt to handle regular unleaded gas) with P. S. and P. B. It has a 12 volt electrical system with entire wiring replacement as well as lights bulbs and lenses. Automatic transmission rebuilt and radiator professionally reconditioned too

This auto was restored to it's original very rare (Code GE) Meadowmist Green & Colonial White paint scheme which was done after body on frame thorough blasting & body part work. All previous bondo repaired doors and sills were replaced including with other doors rather then using patch panels. No funds were spared in restoring this wonderful old family sedan!. Additionally, received high polish stainless and complete Canadian re-chroming.

The interior restoration was wonderfully done in two-tone Medium Metallic Green & Meadowmist Green two tone dash and moldings. Additionally, original Ford factory material was used per Code J, i.e. Dark Green Vinyl & Medium Green Cloth (Random Dot) with an ABC Auto Upholstery (now Ron's Auto Upholstery) medium green replacement carpeting kit (a spare kit is available).

Additionally, the Power Steering wheel was professionally rebuilt from the metal core out by one of the world's most respected team! Lastly, the original radio was replaced with original Town and Country AM radio that was updated to solid state & modified for FM, as well including connections for CD changer, MP3, etc. Additional accessories include rare chrome rear speaker control with NOS knob; after market tissue dispenser with Ford emblem & bezel & map light, all mounted to underside of dash.

This car has always been garaged since restoration and restoration billings as well as maintenance records can be made available. Even these photos really don't do this award winning restoration justice but additional photos can be made available upon request.

Car was manufactured in Memphis, TN in December 1955 and I purchased from AL owner in 2002 prior to beginning more then a 3 year restoration! This car is available for purchase for $25,500. — odea60
