The story

Bought the bronco around 1-1-09 and started having Idle problems.
It started idling high (around 1200 - 2500) and wouldn't idle down.

I changed the IACV after it checked out bad but that didnt solve the problem. I replaced the upper intake gasket and TB gasket which did nothing.

Then it started surging between 1500 rpm's down to about 400 rpms and after almost stalling it would pick back up to 1500...

up & down, up & down, up & down, up & down. You get the idea.

It appeared (to me) the computer was getting bad signals from the sensors so I unplugged the TPS, IACV & temp sensor and sprayed the connections/plugs out with throttle body cleaner and blew dry them. I then applied dielectric grease to the plugs and re-coupled them and so far I have had -0- problems. It idles perfect and runs great. — loprofyle
