Why are my pictures falling over?

I've noticed a few portrait images recently have become landscape, like https://www.supermotors.net/registry/media/1142312 & https://www.supermotors.net/registry/media/1129211 ? I know I uploaded them portrait, and they were for many years. The thumbnails even remained portrait for a little while after the "fullsize" pics became landscape, but the thumbs have also fallen over now. Can they be corrected? Any idea why it's happening, or how many pics it will affect?
