ZF-5spd with parking brake, 5.13 geared Dana 80 disc brake rear diff, hydro-boost brakes.
Notes:
I picked up this 1991 Ford F-Super Duty to be my dedicated tow vehicle/scrap hauler. It has a 145000 GVWR and a 14 foot flatbed. It should do much better then my current light duty 87 F250 2wd. I just need to make a few repairs and modifications to it before it will be used. So it's getting parked for the winter. I'm going to fix it next spring.

I'm dumping the two ...

If you are wondering about the 3 openings that are in most of the designs. The center one is a combination step/ grille. I though with a bumper this big some more air flow for the big radiator might be a go...

Decision time! 5-28-2011: This truck has basically been sitting since I bought it. I've put less then 30 miles on the truck. It needs a lot of stuff to be either fixed/replaced. And I just didn't have the money to fix it. But I came to the conclusion I either need to fix it so I can use it or sell it. I decided to fix it.
Since I made the decision I've been buying/ordering the parts I need for it.
A couple weeks ago I bought this 50 gallon Peterbilt diesel tank with mounting brackets and straps for $150.00. It's basically a new take off. It had one tank of fuel ran thru it and was built in 2009. I think I got a great deal on it.
I'm dumping the two stock tanks and selector valve and am going to run this single tank. I'm replacing the entire fuel system except the hard injector lines and the stock fuel filter head. I'm converting to an electric Carrier lift pump, I'm adding two Goldenrod fuel filters, new Delphi Injectors, All new hard lines and hoses from the IP back to the the tank. And I'm going to have a local shop rebuild my Injector pump.
I'm also replacing the starter with a new Hi-torque starter. I'm replacing the glow plugs with some new Motorcraft ones. I'm also replacing the air, fuel and oil filters with Motorcraft ones.
I'm also going to replace the waterpump and thermostat with new Motorcraft parts. Replace the negative battery cables. Convert it to dual electric cooling fans. And I need to repair the E-brake assembly that I noticed is starting to leak oil.
